Snoring keeping you awake at night? Struggling with you're CPAP? We at Dickerson Family Dental understand that a good night's sleep can have a huge impact on the lives of you and your loved ones. That is why we are partnering with apZme to offer sleep apnea testing and oral appliance therapy. This therapy is an alternative to noisy CPAPs, reduces or eliminates snoring, and allows you and your partner to have a good night's sleep.
Introducing Sleep Apnea Testing & Oral Appliance Therapy
Our sleep apnea testing is simple and easy. You don't have to worry about spending days on end at a sleep study clinic where other people are constantly monitoring you, wires disturbing you, and sleeping in an unfamiliar bed. You don't have to wait for months and months to start getting a better night's sleep. Instead, the testing itself takes a few days, and the entire process is finished within a month.
Thanks to the Oral Appliance Therapy (OAT), you can say goodbye to the CPAP machine! The beauty of OAT is that you don't have to deal with a noisy machine, bothersome tubes, or an uncomfortable mask. Hence, you are more likely to actually wear it, thus improving your sleep and overall health.
The Sleep Testing Process
First, there would be a 15-minute doctor visit over the phone, then you would wear a watch and ring combination while you sleep in the comfort of your own bed. After that, the data collected during those 3 nights would be analyzed. Followed by another 15-minute doctor visit over the phone. The entire process would take no more than a month, including the time taken for analyzing the data. After that, you would begin the Oral Appliance Therapy.
About Oral Appliance Therapy
Your dentist tests how best to position your jaw so that you can sleep comfortably and eliminate the causes of sleep apnea and snoring. Once this is determined in a single dental visit, an oral appliance, custom-fit to your teeth, is fabricated in a dental laboratory.
Finally, you wear the oral appliance and have a good night's sleep.
